We’re partnering with Ramblers Way Farm, a pioneering sustainable wool clothing company based in Maine, to support farmland protection. From April 22 (Earth Day!) to May 1, Ramblers Way Farm employees will contribute 5% of their paid work hours volunteering for MFT.
This new partnership supports the company’s good-natured ethos and bolsters MFT's efforts. As natives to Maine, the Chappell Family Founders of Ramblers Way Farm have a great history of making charitable contributions of both time and money to support farmland protection and sustainable innovation. In the spirit of his successful business model at Tom’s of Maine, Tom Chappell now encourages Ramblers Way employees to donate their time regularly in an effort to fully immerse themselves in the company values, which speak to quality, ethics, sustainability and community support.
Ramblers Way Farm Co-founder, Tom Chappell adds, “We have grown up caring actively for conservation and service to the non-profits whose mission aligns with our family values. After a meaningful use of volunteer time at Tom's of Maine, we instill the same ethic at Ramblers Way.”
Ramblers Way Farm announces partnership with MFT in a joint effort to help protect the local farms that sustain our greater ecosystem and economy. MFT works on the ground-level to protect farmland and support farmers. The Chappell family has a longstanding relationship with MFT, having established easements on their own land - a total of 165 acres that housed the first Rambouillet sheep for the pioneering wool apparel company. Because of this work, this land will remain as open space forever.
How can you help make a difference?
From Earth Day, April 22nd, through May 1st, every purchase from Ramblers Way clocks one volunteer hour in the "Give Back Bank". Then, follow Ramblers Way as they share the work they do to help MFT make an impact!
