Much of farming is about planning and building long-term relationships. Farm business insurance is no exception. “We have some clients who have been with Farm Family Insurance longer than I have been alive,” John Heller, Maine’s Multiple Line General Agent of Farm Family Insurance explains. “It’s a long term relationship. Whether its property & casualty insurance, or life & disability insurance, our job as advisors is to listen to you and find out what your concerns are. Then we can let you know what your exposures are and help you plan for the coverage that you desire.” He explains that it can be daunting to work through all the options, but that it’s necessary to help farmers lay down a good plan. “Annual one-on-one time is critical to help agents and farmers make sure their coverages and farm plans match.”

Farm Family Insurance has been a service provider to the agricultural community for more than 50 years. They have a commitment to agriculture in Maine. “The bulk of our business is with ag – direct or one off of farms.” Heller explains they work with long-established farms, new farmers, as well as businesses and organizations throughout the system, because they see Maine’s potential. “Farm Family Insurance can see that the agricultural landscape in Maine is changing and we’re committed to its future. In the next 15 years, Maine will be a huge provider for Northeast, in all kinds of products. We’re committed to helping people from beginning to end and insuring the risks along the way.”

There are seven Farm Family Insurance agents throughout Maine. You can find more about the company at their website: www.farmfamily.com
